The flight with Manta Air lasts about an hour, during which you can enjoy a wonderful view over the atolls and islands of the Maldives before diving into the holiday paradise.
Five restaurants ensure excellent catering from morning to evening - the offer ranges from an international buffet in Flavour and Zest, which serves different specialties every day, to the Sea Dragon, which serves extraordinary Far Eastern gastronomy with a view of the vast Indian Ocean. Under a twinkling starry sky, we enjoyed a selection of Dim Sum, fresh fish, and lobster, as well as Gong Bao Chicken, a classic spicy Sichuan dish. In the Azure restaurant, we were impressed by Mediterranean dishes such as Tuna Tartar and Burrata, while the restaurant Smoked serves a variety of barbecue dishes. For a snack in the afternoon, Kandima offers a sandwich shop and its own café, beautifully and idyllically situated on the island's own lake.
During the day, you can best spend your time on the kilometer-long beach or at one of the two pools. Here, the Beach Club and the Breeze Pool Bar provide a variety of refreshing drinks and small meals. If snoozing in the sun and swimming isn't active enough for you, you can explore the house reef with snorkeling equipment that you can borrow for free, or walk the island. Along the beach, the path leads to the so-called Coconut Grove and the picturesque end of the island.
Aquaholics offers exciting diving and snorkeling expeditions, motorized activities such as jet skiing, water skiing, and much more. An adventure in itself is parasailing, where you can fly 100 meters above the sea and enjoy the view over the atoll. There are also tennis courts and a fitness studio, the Burn. The Eskape Spa awaits its guests with a variety of treatments to relax after diving or sports. Accompanied by the sound of the sea, the massages slow down body and soul.
The room categories range from the Beach and Sky Studios, which are reminiscent of hotel rooms right on the beach, to the Aqua and Beach Villas with their own pool and offer either private beach or sea access or stunning views of the Indian Ocean. Our Aqua Villa featured a private whirlpool, from which the spectacular sunset could be admired. The huge bathroom shines with a free-standing bathtub with a breathtaking view of the sea. There are two Sunset Aqua Pool Suites at the end of the jetty, which ensure very special vacation moments thanks to their location and the private pool facing the sea.
In order not to lose track of all activities, restaurants, and amenities, Kandima offers its own app. These provide guests with information on daily events - for example, each evening the Breeze Bar offers a different musical performance by local bands. The app also provides information about the opening hours of the restaurants and the current bill. Even room services, such as in-room dining or housekeeping services, can be organized via smartphone.
